On a roll? #makevember no.10
Well, my streak of daily blogging lasted about 9 days. So in that situation you’re kind of faced with a problem, an entirely in your own head and your own rules problem. Especially if you’ve set yourself up as Mr.Makevember or whatever, so I’m going to briefly talk about streaks… being on a roll.
We are very susceptible to being on a streak of successes or on a roll. When we are we build up a sort of back pressure or momentum that is more likely to drive us forward. Imagine you’ve been following someone and they’ve done 29 projects right up to the 30th of November, then on the 30th they didn’t put something out. Now imagine that’s you.
So this week I’m encouraging anyone that’s thought about doing a #makevember project (and please remember they can be as quick as a minute or two, it’s about doing something a little outside of the normal to build a muscle for a future make) but hasn’t because they didn’t do one on the 1st of November, to think, you know, it’s fine to do one project in #makevember.
On the other hand, if you’ve been doing one daily… let yourself miss a day. If you dare!
Good luck and be kind to yourself.
